It was great to see many come celebrate International Women's Day with the discussion and film screening on Friday. Come continue the discussion at tomorrow's meeting (3/11) with an insightful discussion with leaders from the Minnesota based organization First Step Initiative. This microfinance organization works to empower women by providing them with small loans so that they may start their own small businesses. They have helped over 700 women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo start and grow their businesses. Bring questions for First Step Initiative as a part of a surely interesting and beneficial conversation about working to provide sustainable solutions abroad and women's empowerment.
