From scientific assays, to surveys, to discussions with community members, there are a multitude of possible ways to gather information when carrying out field studies. As we continue to look ahead at exploring how we may engage in research abroad ourselves and as we continue to discuss the research and findings of others in the developing field, looking at the variety of research methods and their influence will be important in enriching our discussions. At tomorrow's Monday meeting (2/25), we will explore different ways to carry out research. Several Tawi members will present and discuss their experiences carrying out field studies abroad (including pictures!). In addition, instructions on writing proposals for independent research will also be presented.
